02 — About

Twelve years of ledgers. One pair of hands.

amarie&co. is a practice, not an agency. Every engagement is led personally by Britney Garrett — the same eyes on your books from month to month, the same email when you have a question.

Britney Garrett · Principal

"I started amarie&co. because I kept meeting business owners who'd been told their books were 'fine' — and they weren't. They deserved better. So do you."

Britney Garrett spent the first decade of her career inside the finance teams of mid-market and Fortune-500 companies — reconciling multi-currency ledgers, closing books on tight timelines, and translating numbers for executives who didn't have time for accounting-speak.

In 2022 she opened amarie&co. to bring that same rigor to the businesses that need it most: the contractor with three crews, the studio with six employees, the family restaurant in its second generation. Same standard, smaller scale, plain English.

03 — Process

How a month actually goes.

Four predictable beats. You always know what's happening, when it's happening, and what you'll see at the end of it.

step 01

Intake & access

We sit down for 30 minutes, look at your current books, and agree on a clean scope. You grant read-only access to your accounts — no passwords change hands.

week 1 · 30 min
step 02

Set the ledger

We rebuild or tune the chart of accounts to fit how you actually run the business. Old transactions are caught up, categorized, and reconciled to source.

week 1–2 · async
step 03

Monthly cadence

By the 10th of every month you receive a closed set of books, a P&L, a balance sheet, and a one-page note from Britney on what changed.

monthly · by the 10th
step 04

Year-end handoff

In December we package the year for your CPA — schedules, adjusting entries, supporting documents — so tax season takes a phone call, not a panic.
